Eliza Got Assigned Her First Talk At Church

Eliza has been assigned to say the prayer in primary numerous time but this week she got assigned her very first talk! I was so excited when I got the email. One of the things I loved best about primary when I was little was giving talks. Matt and I sat down with her to today and we helped her write her talk. All of the ideas came from her and we just asked her how, why, and what gifts did he give us, and helped her form the sentences(which was just adding a word or two like "the" and "to" or the proper tense of the word). Here it goes....

Subject for the month: Jesus Christ Can Help Me Choose The Right

Jesus can help me choose the right through his example. He teaches me to choose the right by listening to my mom and dad. Jesus helps me make right decisions to keep me safe. He helps me to play with my sisters nicely. Jesus is my Heavenly Father's son, He loves little children and blesses them. Jesus died for us so we can live with our families in Heaven. Jesus gave us the Holy Ghost a spirit to help us choose the right. I feel happy when I listen to the Holy Ghost. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Eliza has been so sensitive to the spirit and as she gets older the she starts connecting gospel principles more. Yes there are days when she is completely like a different child then the Eliza I know but I'm chalking that up to the normal 4-5 year old age. She has been such a blessing to our lives and we are thankful we were given the opportunity and gift of raising such a sweet spirit.

Baked Hard Boiled Eggs

This year for Easter I decided to try a new way to hard boil our eggs. Super simple.
1. Place eggs in a cupcake pan(you can use a mini pan too)
2.Bake for 30mins at 350°
3. Pull out of oven and place directly into ice water for 10mins. You will see little brown spots on the eggs before you put them in the water but mine dissapeared after cooling.

The best part I loved about it was I got all the colors for the dyes ready and a lot of other things done without having to worry about watching the eggs cooked. Plus the eggs turned out perfect!!
