Random Happenings

We have been a little busy over the last couple of Months here are some of the Highlights besides Holidays...

Eliza got her Cast Removed and was very excited about that because she could participate in PE again.

We built a makeshift fire pit in the backyard which we use almost every night now and got our garden ready.... planted some seeds but only got two plants to sprout so far :( will have to replant I am assuming

Leah finally got approved for Speech Therapy and is going to school three times a week. She loves it and in only 3 weeks we can already see an improvement. Her little personality is blooming now that she feels more secure in her communication skills.

While Setting up Christmas Lights we found out Eliza is allergic to cats. After two rounds of benedryl and a nap her eye went straight from red to weeping mucous...yuck....We spent four hours in urgent care because it was the only place open the day after Thanksgiving!

Holidays.. Came and Went

Here are some of my favorite pictures we have from the last two Holidays that flew by... Can you believe it's almost Christmas?

Our little Ghost

Little Red Riding Hood

Monarch Butterfly

Every Holiday Every year I get a "family" picture this year I forgot till after bedtime so we got everyone up for one quick shot!

We Got A New Puppy

Last Month Matt and I drove out to Tucson(which is a couple hours away) to pick up our new puppy. He is AKC registered Boston Terrier and only a few months old. After receiving his pedigree chart in the mail we decided to name him BoZo. His dads name was Big Bad Bo III and his moms name was Zoey so we thought it fit. The girls love him... When he isnt chewing on the backs of their knees haha.. He really is like the little brother they never wanted and our boy we never had!

Grandma Player Came to Visit in September

Grandma Player came out for a ten day visit. I'm not quite sure what happen but I completely flaked on taking pictures. None the less we enjoyed her time here and are thankful for skype so we can keep in contact with her while she is at home in Alabama. The girls loved having a slumber party with her every night and that she painted all of their nails on our weekly pedicure night.

Buckles

For the next three weeks Eliza will be sporting her new Pink Glittery cast! After family home evening on Monday we were walking home from my brother Isaac's house and Eliza decided she was going to run from me.. I yelled "stop before you biff it" but of course since tag is her favorite game in the whole world she kept running... tripped... and biffed it!! Oh the shrieks that came from her little body... Its that moment when as a parent your stomach is almost out of your mouth and your face feels like its burning off! I went over to her and she could still move her wrist so after about thirty mins of trying to get her to calm down and putting the other girls in bed we got her ready to go to urgent care because she was still complaining of pain and pointed to a specific area on her wrist. They did xrays and said it was a "buckle fracture" fast forward four days and the doctor gave her the option to keep her splint or get a cast so she opted for the cast which I am thankful for so she doesn't ask me every five minutes to take the brace off And I will have to worry less about her taking it off at school when she returns after fall break. Our next door neighbor Patty who we have always known worked at Phoenix Childrens hospital happened to be the orthopedic nurse for Eliza which made her trip to the hospital much more enjoyable. Ever since Eliza was with Grandpa Player his last days in a hospital she hasn't particularly loved going to them and you can see the anxiety she gets whenever we have to go to one. She did well though and when all was said and done was in better spirits than I expected.
